Our Mission Statement

Triangle Interweave is a Lake County Florida based organization, associated with the Unitarian-Universalist Association, dedicated to offering a safe networking environment for the LGBTQ community, their families, friends and supporters; bringing awareness of LGBTQ issues to the public; and working for full human rights for all members of the LGBTQ community.

Please make a quick call to your Senators – use sageusa.org/EqualityTime to assist with calling or for Floridians, here are the Senators’ Phone Number and the Sample Script  Senator Rick Scott 202-224-5274  Senator Marco Rubio 202-224-3041  “Hello, my name is __________ and I live in ___City & Zip Code___ and I’m calling Senator ________ to urgently ask you to pass the Equality Act. The Equality Act provides explicit and comprehensive non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ Americans that are lacking in federal law. [Add personal story if you’d like]. Please vote to pass the Equality Act so that all LGBTQ people across the country can be protected. Thank you.” Thank you for joining us for the Equality Act Town Hall hosted by SAGE, Equality Florida, Freedom for All Americans, and Rainbow Family and Friends of the Villages. It was a thrill to see so many people showing their support of the Equality Act. So many of you joined us to call Florida senators, encouraging them to pass this vital legislation. As LGBTQ elder pioneers know all too well, that kind of collaborative spirit enacts lasting change for the community. We are so glad to have you in this fight. Click here to read more about why older LGBT people need the Equality Act. We also have all the information you need to call your senators at sageusa.org/EqualityTime. Now is your chance to take your advocacy to the next level! The most effective way to make your voice heard about why LGBTQ elders need the Equality Act is by meeting with your legislator. We’re here to help make that happen. If you are interested in joining a meeting during our LGBTQ Elder Week of Action September 13-17, fill out our interest form. We will reach out to arrange a training to ensure you are comfortable and prepared to have your voice heard by Senate staff. All we need from you is a story that’s waiting to be told. Thank you again for making the Equality Act Town Hall such a success! Let’s continue to show Congress that LGBTQ elders refuse to be invisible.

Several of the talks and talking papers used by Triangle Interweave have been gathered into a Sourcebook for potential Trans-Activists. That book has been published on Amazon as "One Woman's Story: A Transactivist's Sourcebook", but you can read a version of it now by
